About

Kristine (KR) Brorman writes romance with grit and grace—stories rooted in rural life, resilience, and the deep ache of second chances. Her contemporary cowboy romance, Secrets & Smoke, was the 2024 Unpublished Romance Category Winner with the Oklahoma Romance Writers Guild and is currently on submission. Set in the rugged heart of the Texas Panhandle, her fiction explores the push and pull between legacy and reinvention, love and loss, faith and fire.

KR makes her home on a working family farm in Adrian, Texas, where she lives with her husband, an elder statesman farmcat, and Scout, the Forrest Gump of dogs. She draws inspiration from the land, the changing seasons, and the monarch butterflies that rest in her trees each October—reminders that even the smallest miracles are worth writing down.

She has served on the board of Texas High Plains Writers and helped revive its regional conference under the banner New Frontiers in Writing. In workshops and critique groups, she’s known for practical strategy, honest feedback, and cheering loudest when someone finds their voice.

In addition to her solo work, she’s the co-author of the award-winning Stilettos, Stoli & Scribbles romantic thriller series with longtime co-author CC Cedras and collaborator SA Young.

When she’s not writing, you’ll likely find her layering a sandwich with surgical precision, plotting her next playlist, or chasing down an idea before it gets away.

“Be careful what you wish for; you just might get it.”,
